Arestado kahapon si dating Negros Oriental Representative Arnolfo “Arnie” Teves Jr. sa bansang Timor Leste habang siya ay naglalaro ng golf.

Kinumpirma ng Department of Justice (DOJ) na dinakip ng mga awtoridad ng bansang Timor Leste si dating Negros Oriental Representative Arnolfo “Arnie” Teves Jr. habang siya ay naglalaro ng golf.

Ang dating kongresista ang itinuturong ulo sa likod ng massacre sa Negros Oriental na ikinasawi ng 10 katao, kabilang ang gobernador na si Roel Degamo.

Sa pakikipagtulungan ng Interpol National Central Bureau sa Dili at East Timorese Police, agad nahuli si Teves ng bandang 4 p.m. sa Top Gold Driving Range and Bar kahapon, Marso 21.

“Today’s apprehension of Teves is a testament to the power of international cooperation. It sends a clear message that no terrorist can evade justice and that nations stand united in safeguarding the safety and security of their citizens,” pahahayag ni DOJ Secretary Jesus Crisipin “Boying” Remulla.

Matatandaang noong Agosto 2023 ay idineklarang terorista ang dating kongresista ng Anti-Terrorism Council, kasama ang 11 iba pa dahil sa kasong pagpatay.
