Imus teachers expand distance learning strategies using bikes

Anabu II Elementary School has recently launched the “DepEdal na Edukasyon, Padyak sa Pagsulong,” which aims to expand its distance learning strategies under the new normal.

IMUS CITY, Cavite – Anabu II Elementary School has recently launched the “DepEdal na Edukasyon, Padyak sa Pagsulong,” which aims to expand its distance learning strategies under the new normal.

Through this program, teachers go around various barangays in Anabu using their bikes to give lessons to students who are struggling with their lessons particularly in reading and counting skills.

In a Facebook post by the DepEd Tayo Imus City, school principal Andrea Angeles shared that this program began only last March 4 but she’s pleased with the outcome so far.

“Nakakatuwa po dahil sinalubong sila ng mga bata at magulang na may ngiti sa mga labi. Siguro ay dahil sabik na rin talagang makita ng mga bata ang kanilang mga guro at ang nakagawiang pagkatuto mula mismo sa mga guro,” she said.

Angeles also appreciates the feedbacks from parents and students alike.

“Walang imposible sa mga gurong may puso para sa edukasyon. Kayang-kaya kung sama-sama,” she said.

“Pumadyak baon ang inspirasyon at dedikasyon at umuwi dala ang tuwa sa puso hatid ng kaalamang may magagawa pa tayo para sa mga bata sa kabila ng pandemya.”
