While a lot of people are used to enjoying their cup of coffee in huge coffee shops for hours, this Ginhawa Arts and Crafts pop-up café is making its way into the spotlight during this time.

Along Snake Road in Dasmarinas City, a multidisciplinary artist and cyclist uses his personal bike in setting up his coffee stop while conquering the city streets and serving Cavitenos hot or cold brews from Wednesday to Sunday afternoon.
Mark Steve Manzano, 22, gave birth to this Ginhawa Arts and Craft Cafe during the pandemic. From the Cebuano word “ginhawa” which means to breathe, Manzano said he wanted to share how relaxing coffee is.
“Ang pinaka-concept talaga nito ay kailangan ng tao na huminga at magpahinga lalo na sa panahon ngayon. Minsan nakukuha natin ito kung titigil tayo saglit habang humihigop ng kape,” Manzano said in an interview with The Cavite Rising.
Manzano aspires to create a new experience of serving quality coffee at affordable prices. He is proud that he uses locally sourced fresh coffee beans and well-thought of techniques from coffee farmers in Alfonso, Cavite to make each serving a grand experience.
“Yung isa talaga sa maipagmamalaki ng Ginhawa ay yung local coffee beans. Pinili talaga itong mabuti, pulang-pula. Kaya mas masarap.”
Just like any other start-ups, Ginhawa shop did not have a lot of customers in their first weeks. But Manzano didn’t lose hope as he continued brewing his dream until he got the attention of the locals.
“Ang pangarap ko noon, makabenta lang ako kahit 50 cups per week. Hindi ko akalain na yung 50 cups na ‘yon, mauubos sa isang araw lang,” Manzano said.
Manzano can do both his passion and lifestyle while making money out of his coffee stop. He never expected that many people would patronize his business since it has not been long since he started it.
“Yung mga tropa at iba pang locals, kahit malayo, dumadayo talaga sila dito para lang bumili,” Manzano shared.

“Madalas naisasantabi at nalilimutan na natin ang mga pangarap. Isang paalala lang ito na may pag-asa pa ring naghihintay sa atin,” Manzano said.
People can stop by and grab a good cup of Ginhawa coffee at District Mall in Imus, City. They have limited operations from 2:00 – 7:00 PM only.
