Cavite administers over 260K jabs on 3-day mass vaccination

This equates to 23.72 percent of total vaccines delivered in the region.

A total of 267,054 doses of COVID-19 vaccine were given in Cavite during the three-day national vaccination campaign, according to the regional health department on Thursday.

In the latest data from the Department of Health (DOH) – Calabarzon, Cavite administered approximately 90,173 shots on November 29, 83,510 on November 30, and 93,371 on December 1.

With these figures, Cavite ranked top in the region for the most vaccines provided, despite the fact that total jabs went slightly short of the province’s target of 289,482.

On a bigger scale, Region IV-A has the highest number of recorded immunizations in the country with 1,125,699, exceeding its vaccination rate goal of 1,020,000.

Meanwhile, the government’s pandemic response task group is planning another round of mass vaccination from December 15 to 17 in order to fulfill its goal of immunizing 54 million people by the end of the year.

This came after the Philippines fell short of its ambitious intent of giving nine million COVID-19 vaccine doses, with a total of 7,628,432 administered.
