Gov. Remulla defends Naic mayor amidst lockdown aid allegations

Cavite Governor Jonvic Remulla released a statement on his facebook page about Manila Mayor Isko Moreno’s remarks regarding Naic’s relocated residents.

Cavite Governor Jonvic Remulla released a statement on his official Facebook page on Friday, defending Naic City Mayor Jun Dualan against Manila Mayor Isko ‘Moreno’ Domagoso’s statement last April 11.

In the said post, Remulla explained that the province of Cavite’s SAP Allotment was computed according to the 2015 census. This excludes some 1,092 families who relocated last 2019 from Manila.

He also explained the differences in terms of demographics between the City of Manila and the city of Naic:

Remulla also said to Domagoso that he should not drag the residents of Naic as they are also experiencing the same situation as those who are in other affected areas with the implemented modified enhanced community quarantine.

Hindi ka namin uurungan,” he said.

The statement was released days after Domagoso’s statement on a news report about the relocated families currently residing in Naic, Cavite.

On the said news report, Domagoso said: “Noong mga nakaraang ayuda, nagpadala ako doon. And I hope they will do the same.”

“Alam mo style kasi ng trapong politiko ‘yan eh. ‘Yung botante, hindi botante. Tutal doon na sila nakatira, next time magparehistro na sila doon sa bayan na ‘yun hindi dahil para iboto ‘yung loko-loko na ‘yun,” he added.

Domagoso has yet to respond to Governor Remulla’s statement.
