Matagumpay na isinalang ng Light Rail Manila Corporation (LRMC) ang unang test run ng mga train set unit para sa LRT Cavite Extension Phase 1 nitong Martes, Disyembre 19.

Ayon sa LRMC, ang nasabing Phase 1 ng proyekto ay mula sa Redemptorist Station hanggang Dr. Santos Station sa Paranaque City.
Isinagawa ang nasabing test run upang maging handa at preperado ang mahigit 6.7km na mayroong limang estasyon na magbubukas sa last quarter ng 2024.
“It was a proud moment for us to see our train running along the extension line of LRT-1 from Redemptorist Station to Dr. Santos Station. As we near the completion of this much-awaited railway project, the general public will begin to see more trains undergoing test runs and trial runs. These activities serve as a testament to the dedication and hardwork of LRMC team, our contractors, and partners in making the LRT-1 Cavite Extension a reality,” saad ni LRMC President at CEO Juan F. Alfonso.
Inaasahan na aakupa ng 500,000 to 800,000 na pasahero araw-araw ang nasabing proyekto na babagtas sa Baclaran hanggang Bacoor na may 25 minutes travel time lamang.
“The LRT-1 Cavite Extension is now taking shape. We are confident that once this extension is operational, it will help in significantly improving the train system in our country providing a more efficient and reliable transportation option,” dagdag pa nito.
