Meanwhile, 6,293 more patients survived the disease. Total recoveries are at 3,514,489 which represents 96.5 percent of the country’s total caseload.

Health Undersecretary Maria Rosario Vergeire on Tuesday said in a press briefing that after weeks of highly contagious Omicron variant fueled the surge in the Philippines, the country is now back at being “low-risk” for the virus.
The health officials still urged the public to practice physical distancing, especially that campaign season is now happening. They also encourage those not yet vaccinated to get their COVID-19 shots.
