Carmona LGU: Caroling only allowed for fully-vaxxed residents

Enjoy the Christmas carols in the town, but with limitations.

The local government of Carmona issued on Monday guidelines for Christmas caroling within the town’s jurisdiction.

According to its policy, only individuals above the age of 12 and who have been fully vaccinated are allowed to participate in the Christmas tradition.

Furthermore, before caroling, participating individuals must obtain the permission of the barangay where they would be performing.

Christmas carolers should also maintain a 50 percent capacity if the venue is indoors, and a 70 percent capacity if it is outdoors.

The Carmona LGU still mandated them to follow health guidelines against COVID-19 such as wearing of face masks and maintaining social distance.

The local authorities, moreover, urged its constituents to only conduct virtual or online caroling to avoid the spread of the virus.

To recall, the Department of Interior and Local Government permitted residents in areas under Alert Level 2, such as Cavite, to go Christmas caroling.
