CAVITE CITY, Cavite – The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) started their COVID-19 vaccination rollout for the Philippine Navy personnel from the Cavite Naval Base last March 15.
The uniformed personnel received their first doses of Sinovac vaccine from the national government.
Acting Flag Officer-in-Command RADM Adelius Bordado and Chief of Cavite Naval Hospital Col. Jessica Villangca spearheaded the said vaccination program.
Also present to witness the inoculation were Cavite City Mayor Totie Paredes, City Health Officer Dr. Lino Antonio Barron and City Legal Officer Atty. Ian Encarnacion.
Cavite City LGU, on the other hand, is expecting to conduct their local vaccination rollout by the 2nd to 3rd quarter this year.
To recall, the local government allotted P50 million for the purchase of the COVID-19 vaccine last January.
