Even a pandemic could not stand in the way of campus journalists in Cavite from emerging victorious as some of them raked in medals in the National Campus Press Olympiad (NCPO), the first-ever country-wide online journalism tournament.
The event features a series of competitions for grade school, high school, and college students, with the theme: Promoting Community Development through Multi-platform Campus Journalism.
It was organized by the school paper award-giving body Best-Designed Campus Papers of the Philippines and Laguna-based events firm Aloha PH.
The contest, which was divided to 15 main events and 10 side events, was held from March 20 to June 20. Winners were announced last June 26 in an awarding ceremony that was livestreamed via Facebook.
