Couple yields ₱251.6-M ‘shabu’ in Imus buy-bust

Some ₱251.6 million worth of suspected shabu are seized by police operatives from a couple in Imus City last November 12.

Police arrested a couple and recovered P251.6 million worth of suspected shabu during a buy-bust operation in Brgy. Buhay na Tubig in Imus City last November 12.

The suspects were identified as Datu Ali Dayo Sampulna, 38, and his wife Almira Karao Sampulna, 30, both residents of Poblacion 7, Cotabato City.

Authorities confiscated from them 37 kilograms of shabu, assorted cellphones, identification cards, and remittance receipts.

The husband-and-wife suspects were considered high-value targets under the watchlist of the police.

They will be charged for violating Republic Act 9165 or the Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
