Metro Manila, Laguna, Pampanga, Iloilo, Batangas, and Benguet have all seen an increase in positivity, exceeding the World Health Organization’s five percent threshold.
The provinces of Bulacan, Cebu, and Davao del Sur continue to have low percentage rates despite seeing an increase.
Meanwhile, the positivity rate in Rizal province has declined from 11.9 percent to 9.7 percent, enough to consider it under a moderate risk.
Furthermore, the OCTA Research Team predicted that the number of new COVID-19 cases in Metro Manila would peak in the first or second week of July based on these figures.
On the other hand, the Department of Health (DOH) said that the country remains at low risk despite the increase.
