The city government of Dasmariñas officially opened on Tuesday, October 5, a nearly 170-bed Mega Isolation Facility in Brgy. Humayao, Langkaan II.
According to city mayor Jenny Barzaga, the local government has funded this project, which could be the first LGU-owned COVID-19 isolation facility in Cavite province.
Aside from the four buildings for isolation rooms, the facility also has its own pharmacy and quarters for medical staff.
The inauguration and blessing were led by Barzaga, Vice Mayor Rex Mangubat, and other city officials, and took place in conjunction with the celebration of Dasmarinas Day.
As of October 5, Dasmariñas City reported a total of 23,760 COVID-19 cases, 679 of which are still active, 22,865 have already been recovered, and 216 have died.
