CAVITE CITY, Cavite – To celebrate the love month, the local government units within the first district of Cavite province showed off their respective gimmicks under the new normal.
In Cavite City, Mayor Totie Paredes together with his daughter, ABC President Apple Paredes, officiated a civil wedding for 33 couples.
For their part, Cavite City Vice Mayor Denver Chua and his brother, 1st District Board Member Davey Chua, treated single parents with free drinks from Cafe Amazon.
Meanwhile in Rosario, Mayor Voltaire Ricafrente led the local government’s eighth day of the beachfront-styled nuptial rites at La Isla Bonita de Salinas Resort. Aside from the free traditional wedding, they also handed wedding cakes and flower bouquets for the brides.
In its neighboring town of Noveleta, Mayor Dino Chua surprised frontliners by giving them chocolates as a Valentine’s gift. In a Facebook post, the mayor thanked them for their sacrifices and for making their town COVID-free in recent days.
As for the town of Kawit, Mayor Angelo Aguinaldo joined some of his constituents in its special Valentine’s Day zumba at the Aguinaldo Shrine. The said LGU, in partnership with the Municipal Social Welfare Development, also distributed almost 200 gift packs to the zumba participants.
