Speaking before a sea of supporters, Robredo promised an honest, people-centered, and proactive government should she win the presidency. She paid homage to her late husband Jesse Robredo’s widely popular tsinelas brand of leadership.

“Isang pamahalaang magmamadaling sumaklolo ‘pag dumaing ka, makikipagpuyatan para mapaginhawa ka, lulusong sa baha para iahon ka,” she said during their proclamation rally at night.
Robredo is confident to repeat her landslide win in the 2016 elections in Bicol, which has more than 3.6 million registered voters as of 2019. If elected, she vowed she will not neglect her home region unlike what past administrations supposedly did.

“’Pag nagkataon pong binigyan tayo ng pagkakataong manilbihan, first time na magkakaroon ng presidenteng Bicolana. ‘Pag Bicolana ang president, imposible naman yatang makakalimutan ang Bicol,” she added.
And with rival Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. enjoying a wide lead over other candidates in pre-election surveys, Robredo — the lone woman running for the presidency — said she is not afraid.
“Hindi ako natatakot. Hindi ako kinakabahan, dahil nang tinawag ko kayo na gisingin ang natutulog pang lakas, buong-buo ang naging tugon ‘nyo,” said the Vice President.

Will the last man standing still really be a woman? Robredo believes so despite the odds.
“Pag-asa, pakikiisa, pagkakaisa. Dito tayo tumatayo. Dito tayo tumitindig. Ihanda na ang mga bisig, dahil tinitiyak ko: Walang tutumas sa pinagbigkis nating lakas,” she said.
“Kaya, tara na. Ipanalo na natin ito.”
