KAWIT, Cavite – The Kawit Rural Health Unit (RHU) held a COVID-19 vaccine simulation on Tuesday at the San Pedro Calungsod Medical Center and Binakayan Hospital and Medical Center as part of the municipality’s ramped-up #TaasManggasKawit campaign.

Present in the vaccination simulation were DOH DMO IV April Rose Pascua and health care workers (HCWs) of the respective hospitals.

Hospital staff and other HCWs served as vaccinators and vaccinees in a “would be” scenario once the local government unit executes its inoculation.

The event simulated the steps one has to go through from registration, counselling, sreening, vaccination proper and monitoring.

RHU personnel and other HCWs monitored each station and ensured vaccinators adhere to the proper process.

Meanwhile, Mayor Angelo Emilio Aguinaldo said the LGU plans to start vaccination for HCWs tomorrow.

“Sinisiguro po nating handa ang ating mga kawani at pasilidad para sa mabilis at maayos na pagsasagawa ng pagbabakuna na maaaring magsimula na bukas, at sa matagumpay na kampanya ng #TaasManggasKawit,” he said.

According to nurse Rouselle Aiderson Rieta, the RHU has a target of vaccinating around 700 HCWs in the municipality.
