Earlier, the power distributor suspended disconnection operations in the National Capital Region (NCR) after the government declared the area under enhanced community quarantine from August 6 to 20, along with Laguna, which was placed under MECQ from August 1 to 15.

Meanwhile, those areas under general community quarantine are not covered by the policy. However, Meralco informed them that it “will continue to be very considerate during this period and vowed to assist customers with their concerns.”

The electric power company added that it will still continue vital operations such as meter reading and bill delivery amidst the quarantine protocols.
