Pilipinas nangunguna sa mundo sa mabilis na pagtaas ng kaso ng HIV ayon sa DOH
Kinumpirma ng DOH na ang Pilipinas ang may pinakamabilis na pagtaas ng kaso ng HIV sa mundo, na may 57 bagong kaso araw-araw, karamihan ay mga kabataan. Dahil dito, inirekomenda ng DOH na ideklara ang HIV bilang national public health emergency. Gayunpaman, nilinaw ng ahensiya na may available na lunas sa pamamagitan ng ART kung maaagapan, at hinihikayat ang publiko na magpasuri at magkaroon ng tamang kaalaman.
