BSP warns public vs fake P150 bill circulating online

The Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) on Thursday, Feb. 2 warned the public about the fake P150 bill circulating on social media.

The Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) informed the public that it has not issued a P150 denomination banknote circulating on social media featuring Dr. Jose Rizal.

The BSP advised the public to always check the information about the Philippine banknotes and coins found on social media if it is legitimate.

According to BSP, the public can verify the information they found on social media through the Notes and Coins section of their official website: www.bsp.gov.ph.

“The central bank encourages the public to report persons involved in the manufacture and/or distribution of counterfeit Philippine currency to the BSP Payments and Currency Investigation Group at email address pcig@bsp.gov.ph or through telephone numbers +63-2-8988-4833 and +63-2-8926-5092,” BSP said.
