CAVITE – The provincial government of Cavite has ordered three million doses of Novavax vaccine to strengthen the country’s effort against the COVID-19 pandemic.
Governor Jonvic Remulla said Wednesday that those jabs from the US biotech firm will be intended for the free vaccination of 1.5 million residents aged 18 to 59.

“Nasa P1.8 Billion ang budget na pinagtulungan ng mga LGU. Kasama na dito ang logistics, storage, delivery at registration process,” he added in his Facebook post.
The Cavite government expects to receive the vaccines as early as July and not later than December.
Cavite is currently still under enhanced community quarantine and has recorded 6,303 total active cases of the viral respiratory illness as of April 6.
