Cavite and its two nearby provinces will transition to general community quarantine (GCQ) ‘with heightened restrictions’ starting June 16 until the end of the month.
Also under the same lockdown status are Rizal and Laguna while Metro Manila and Bulacan will ease to GCQ ‘with some restrictions.’
The NCR Plus was previously placed under GCQ “with restrictions” until June 15.
President Rodrigo Duterte announced these new community quarantine classifications during his taped address to the nation on Monday, June 14.
Malacañang has yet to explain the specific guidelines under these forms of lockdown.

Meanwhile, the rest of the country is under the most relaxed modified GCQ.
The country has so far logged 1,322,053 COVID-19 cases 59,096 of whom remain active as of Monday. The death toll toll currently stands at 22,845 while 1,240,112 have recovered.
