Cavite’s COVID-19 active cases now down to below 2,000

The number of active COVID-19 cases in Cavite has dropped to 1,908 as of October 24, according to the Department of Health (DOH) data.

In a week, or since October 17, the number of cases has decreased by 33 percent, or at least 937 cases.

The province recorded an average of 166 daily cases from October 17 to 23, which is significantly lower than the 335 cases recorded from October 10 to 16.

From that 7-day average, at least 27 cases are from Bacoor City, followed by Imus City with 23 cases, and Gen. Trias City with 20 cases.

Meanwhile, the province’s average recovery rate is 327, while the death rate is at 3.

Cavite had 160,031 total cases of the viral respiratory disease as of October 24, with 156,873 of them already recovered and 1,231 reported dead.

On the other hand, as of the same date, 1,152,943 people in the province have been fully vaccinated. This figure accounts for at least 38 percent of the 3,013,918 target population in terms of achieving herd immunity.
