The city of Imus signed a memorandum of agreement (MOA) with the Philippine Red Cross – Cavite Chapter on Tuesday for the implementation of the Blood Samaritan Project.

This program seeks financial donations to support the blood needs of indigent patients who require blood transfusions.

The funds that will be raised will be used to pay the blood processing fees of legitimate indigent patients.

Mayor Emmanuel Maliksi believes that by doing so, the city government will be able to strengthen their advocacy for voluntary blood donation and other health and charitable activities.
