COVID-19 cases in Cavite surge to 60-130 per day – Remulla

The number of COVID-19 cases in the province of Cavite has climbed up to 60-130 daily, Gov. Jonvic Remulla declared on Monday.

CAVITE, Philippines – The number of COVID-19 cases in the province of Cavite has climbed up to 60-130 daily, Gov. Jonvic Remulla declared on Monday.

Remulla said emergency rooms are filled up again as the whole country starts to experience a general increase of cases anew.

“May pangambang kumalat na rin ang bagong strain na nanggaling sa UK, Brazil at South Africa,” he stated in his official Facebook post.

In a post last March 1, Remulla said the province has already earmarked a total of P750 million as it begins the procurement process of COVID-19 vaccines.

“Sa kasalukuyan, patuloy ang aming pakikipag-ugnayan sa Astra Zeneca. Naglaan po tayo ng PHP750 Million para sa bakuna ng mahigit sa 1,500,000 na Kabiteño para sa lalong madaling panahon. Ito po ay para sa edad 18-59 years old,” he said.

“Patuloy po tayong naghihintay sa tugon ng Moderna at Pfizer para sa mga Senior Citizens or 60 and above,” he added.

Remulla vowed he will not stop in his duty to protect and provide for the people of Cavite.

“It is our sworn duty to do so; nothing shall deter us from doing what is right and what is best.”
