Many students would surely cast their “sana all” card after the city government of Dasmariñas announced on Wednesday that they will give cash incentives to those citizens who received academic awards this year.
Mayor Jenny Barzaga announced on Facebook that student awardees who graduated from elementary to college will be recognized at this year’s Gawad Karangalan ng Lungsod ng Dasmariñas on September 17.
Graduate school awardees, degree holders who received distinctions, and bar and board passers from September 2021 to present will also receive incentives from the city government.
This recognition, as per the city government, aims “to advocate the significance of achieving academic excellence among the youth through recognizing their laudable scholastic performances.”
Based on their guidelines, prospective honorees shall be bestowed with the following:
Elementary Level (Grade 6 graduates)
With Highest Honors – 3,000 pesos, certificate & gold medal
With High Honors – 2,000 pesos, certificate & silver medal
Secondary Level (Senior High School/Grade 12 graduates)
With Highest Honors – 4,000 pesos, certificate & gold medal
With High Honors – 3,000 pesos, certificate & silver medal
Tertiary Level
Summa cum Laude – 25,000 pesos & plaque
Magna cum Laude – 20,000 pesos & plaque
Cum Laude – 15,000 pesos & plaque
Graduate School Level
Masteral Degree with Distinction – 10,000 pesos & plaque
Doctorate Degree with Distinction – 15,000 pesos & plaque
Doctorate Degree without Distinction – 5,000 pesos & plaque
Bar/Board Topnotcher (1st place) – 30,000 pesos & plaque
Bar/Board Placers (2nd to 5th place) – 25,000 pesos & plaque
Bar/Board Placers (6th to 10th place) – 20,000 pesos & plaque
Bar Passers – 5,000 pesos & certificate
Board Passers – 3,000 pesos & certificate
Note: Only passers from September 2021-present shall be accepted.
Moreover, awardees may be graduates of any educational institution but must be actual and registered voters in Dasmariñas.
For the recipients aged 18 and below, their parents must be registered voters of the city for them to be included.
