Cavite Gov. Jonvic Remulla announced that President Ferdinand “BongBong” Marcos Jr. has approved the construction of Philippine General Hospital (PGH) in Carmona, Cavite on Thursday, July 18.

According to Remulla, the PGH branch in Carmona will have a capacity of 600 beds for patient care, and it will function as a teaching hospital.

“Si Pangulong BBM po ay pinirmahan na ang kontrata, ang aming kasunduan na magkakaroon na po ng bagong Philippine General Hospital (PGH) campus doon po sa Carmona, Cavite,” the governor stated before the distribution of provincial scholarships at Montano Hall, Cavite City.

Establishing this project will mark a significant milestone as the first branch of PGH outside Metro Manila.

Remulla also mentioned that upon completion of the Cavite-Laguna Expressway, the travel time will be much quicker to reach the PGH in Carmona because it will take less than an hour.

In addition, the Cavite governor shared his commitment to making Cavite as “safest province in the entire country” by launching the 911 application.

The application will improve public safety, enhance efficiency and speed during emergencies in the province.

Besides this announcement, Remulla also disclosed the plan for the construction of PGH in Carmona during the Carmona cityhood anniversary celebration on February 19, 2024.
