It’s official: Carmona becomes Cavite’s eighth city

Carmona becomes the eighth city in Cavite after Cavite City, Trece Martires, Tagaytay, Dasmariñas, Bacoor, Imus, and General Trias.

Majority of Carmona residents have voted in favor of converting the municipality into a component city of Cavite during a plebiscite last July 8.

The plebiscite was held as residents weighed in whether to ratify Republic Act No. 119381, which was signed by President Bongbong Marcos Jr. in February.
