Kawit acquires 4000 sacks of rice as relief in preparation for ECQ

In a Facebook post, Aguinaldo extended his sincerity among his townsmen and assured he will look after the welfare of Kawiteños despite the reversion to the stricter lockdown measure.

“Patuloy ang ating pakikipagtulungan sa gobyerno para masigurong maayos nating maipapatupad ang ECQ sa bayan, at nang walang Kawiteñong mapapabayaan,” Aguinaldo said.

Apart from the adept relief acquisition, the Kawit mayor also asked for the cooperation of his constituents in abiding by health protocols as the municipality is still experiencing a steady rise in confirmed and active COVID-19 cases.

At present, Aguinaldo guaranteed the coordination of his office and other government agencies to continue serving Kawiteños in the span of the ECQ.

On Sunday, President Rodrigo Duterte approved the COVID-19 task force’s recommendation to put Cavite, Bulacan, Laguna, Rizal and Metro Manila back under strict lockdown, said his spokesperson Harry Roque on Saturday, March 27. 

All the said areas, otherwise known as NCR Plus, will revert to ECQ starting March 29 until April 4 to control the recent surge in coronavirus cases.
