Ryssi Avila thanks Caviteños for supporting her ‘Idol PH’ journey

A singer and a social media personality hailing from Bacoor City, Ryssi Avila made Caviteños proud as she emerged as the first runner-up in a national reality TV singing competition.

Ryssi Avila, a pride of Bacoor City, expressed her gratitude to Caviteños for supporting her throughout her “Idol Philippines” journey.

“Sobrang proud po ako kasi ni-represent ko po ‘yung Bacoor. Gusto ko pong magpasalamat sa lahat ng mga taga-Bacoor na sumuporta po sa akin, bumoto. Maraming maraming salamat po sa pagtulong nila sa akin,” Avila told The Cavite Rising in an exclusive interview.

While she admittedly encountered numerous challenges during the contest, Avila said she is still thankful for her fans who helped her survive until she reached the show’s finale.

“Sa akin po, sobrang hirap po talaga…Parang sinubok po lahat eh — physical, yung katawan ko po, yung mind ko, emotional — lahat po ng aspects of well-being talagang nasubok po dito sa Idol Philippines. Pero overall, worth it lahat ng sacrifices,” she added.

Avila won as first runner-up in the ABS-CBN’s reality TV singing competition after her soulful performances of “Lilim” by Victory Worship and “Totoo Na ‘To” composed by Rox Santos.

Meanwhile, Khimo Gumatay from Makati City was hailed as the winner of the second season of “Idol Philippines” which concluded last week.

Prior to joining the competition, Avila has been making covers of songs on her Youtube channel.

Now a certified idol of many, the 25-year-old singer-songwriter is hoping her showbiz career will soon flourish in the future.

“I hope makapagrelease na po ako ng mga songs ko, na marinig po ako as ‘Ryssi’ talaga at mabigyan po ako ng malaking break, more projects po.”
