Mugs hold more than just tea or coffee for this Imus-based entrepreneur. From forming the clay on his hand up to carving custom designs, creating a mug for artist Bombom Diaz is a labor of passion.

As the founder of the small business venture called Muginhawa, Diaz has been customizing mugs and tumblers made out of clay since 2018.

He creates his mugs with beauty and elegance reflecting his deep interest in pottery. Aside from mugs and tumblers, he also makes keychains, kitchen utensils, and tie-dyed shirts.

In an interview with The Cavite Rising, Diaz shared that just like many others, he found himself unemployed when local establishments closed down last year due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The situation pushed him to stay focused in making his handmade creations at home. What keeps him going, he said, are his dreams in life, passion for pottery and dedication to his small business.

Aside from taking orders online and delivering it nationwide, Diaz said he also places his handmade mugs selection in various art fairs around Cavite.

For Diaz, each one of his creations has a story to tell. If you want to avail any of his handmade creations, check out Muginhawa’s Facebook page.
