Tagaytay City lifts liquor ban

The City Government of Tagaytay ordered the lifting of liquor ban effective on November 4, Mayor Agnes Tolentino announced in her Facebook post on November 3.

The City Government of Tagaytay ordered the lifting of liquor ban effective on November 4, Mayor Agnes Tolentino announced in her Facebook post on November 3.

This was decided through Executive Order (EO) No. 399, series of 2021 signed by Tolentino herself.

Last October 16, Mayor Tolentino imposed a liquor ban in Tagaytay to restrict gatherings and possible transmission of COVID-19 disease. 

“A downward trend in COVID-19 cases in the community has been observed in recent days, resulting from the continuous administration of vaccines for city residents,” the EO read.

Moreover, Tagaytay also began vaccinating minors aged 12 to 17 against the COVID-19 at Tagaytay International Convention Center on November 5.
