In the said meetings, Tugade announced the “Tsuper Iskolar Program,” which is available to drivers and their families through the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority.

Under this assistance program, PUV drivers and operators, as well as their families, will receive free skill training and assessment, including financial assistance.

“Each driver is entitled to learn vehicle troubleshooting courses and automotive mechanic crash courses. The wife can learn manicure [and] pedicure courses and other courses for their children,” Tugade said in The Manila Times report.

“This will be a big help for you all. So, I beg you not to waste the opportunity to gain additional knowledge and income,” he added.

Tugade also inspected the newly-constructed Land Transportation Office building at the Revilla Business Park in Barangay Habay II in Bacoor, which will be opened in August this year.
