The Manila-Cavite Toll Expressway (CAVITEx) management will begin its ‘No Radio-frequency Identification (RFID), No Entry’ policy on RFID lanes starting Monday, May 17.
Kawit Mayor Angelo Emilio Aguinaldo notified the public about the advisory in accordance with the Republic Act 4136 or the Land Transportation and Traffic Code.
Simula Lunes, May 17, 2021, ay ipapatupad na po ng pamunuan ng CAVITEX ang NO VALID RFID, NO ENTRY sa kanilang mga RFID…Posted by Angelo G. Aguinaldo on Friday, May 14, 2021
“Hinihikayat po namin ang mga wala pang RFID stickers na magpakabit na bago pa mag-Lunes para makaiwas sa abala,” Aguinaldo said on a Facebook post.
Last August 2020, the Department of Transportation mandated the use of cashless transactions at tollways to further reduce the spread of COVID-19 disease.
As of May 15, 6,739 additional COVID-19 positive cases were recorded to bring the total active cases in the country to 56,709.
