Crispin Diego Ping Remulla will inherit the vacated congressional seat of his father, Justice Sec. Boying Remulla, after being proclaimed as the duly elected representative of Cavite’s 7th district.

The recent special elections was held on Feb. 25 in the City of Trece Martires City, and municipalities of Tanza, Amadeo, and Indang.

Remulla garnered 98,474 votes while his rival, former Trece Martires City Mayor Jun de Sagun, got 46,530 votes.

Meanwhile, independent candidates Lito Aguinaldo and Mike Santos gained 1,610 votes and 1,068 votes, respectively.

According to the COMELEC, the voter-turnout for the said special elections is 42.11 percent of the 355,184 total number of registered voters in the district.
