Imus Tourism releases spoken word film to celebrate National Arts Month

The Imus City Tourism Office has released “Pamana,” a spoken word film performed by Martin Naling, which features the city and its culture as part of the celebration of the National Arts Month.

IMUS CITY, Cavite – The Imus City Tourism Office has released “Pamana,” a spoken word film performed by Martin Naling, which features the city and its culture as part of the celebration of the National Arts Month.

Through a video posted on Facebook, the tourism office hoped to encourage residents of Imus to be part of exploring and preserving the cultural heritage of the city.

“Pamana” unveiled some of the historical events that took place within Imus City such as the Battle of Imus in Isabel Bridge and the Battle of Alapan where Gen. Aguinaldo first unfurled the Philippine flag making the city dubbed as the country’s flag capital.

The almost four-minute clip also featured the cultural Bakte dance and various tourist spots within the city like the Imus Cathedral and the plaza in front of it. Likewise, well-known ancestral houses of the Kamantigue and Palma clans were also given spotlights in this tourism video.

The spoken word film also highlighted the famous cuisines in the city including the Imus longganisa, pancit lang-lang, and kutsinta.
