Kawit Mayor Angelo Aguinaldo confirmed on Saturday that he has COVID-19 and is currently in isolation.

Aguinaldo made the announcement in his Facebook post, showing a photo of an antigen test with a positive result.

On January 7, Mayor Maricel Echevarria-Torres of Gen. Mariano Alvarez also tested positive for COVID-19.

According to her, it was her first time to get infected by the viral disease.

In Silang, Mayor Corie Poblete announced on January 5 that she contracted COVID-19 for the second time. 

Poblete has been fully vaccinated and has also received her booster dose, yet she tested last January 3.
