Cavite solons, city chief execs back Remulla over son’s drug case

Following the arrest of Justice Secretary Boying Remulla’s son for illegal drug possession, congressional representatives and the Mayors’ League of Cavite expressed their support for their colleague and “respected kababayan.”

Following the arrest of Justice Secretary Boying Remulla’s son for illegal drug possession, congressional representatives and the Mayors’ League of Cavite expressed their support for their colleague and “respected kababayan.”

In a joint statement, they remarked that they support Remulla’s leadership and believe in “his dedication and honesty as a public servant.”

“…we clearly understand that as a good father, it is his moral and legal duty to ensure his son’s right to due process,” they said.

They also asserted their solidarity with President Ferdinand Marcos Jr., praising the chief executive’s objectivity and confidence in Remulla.

The joint statement was signed by Cavite’s seven district representatives, led by 5th District Congressman Roy Loyola, and Agimat Partylist Rep. Bryan Revilla.

The statement was also signed by the seven city mayors in the province, as well as the Cavite Mayors’ League President, Carmona Mayor Dahlia Loyola.
