Victim Queen Leanne Daguinsin, a 22-year-old graduating student of the De La Salle University-Dasmariñas, was found dead inside her dormitory room after multiple stab wounds were found on her body without lower garments, and a pillow covering her face.

The victim sustained 14 stab wounds, including one in the neck, nine in her body, and four in her arms. The police said these wounds suggest that victim fought against the suspect.

What happened

According to the report, the suspect was seen on security footage climbing the rooftop of the Aterrado Dormitory around 1 a.m. The footage then shows him entering the Rolisa Dormitory on the second floor, where the victim’s room was located.

In another piece of footage, the suspect was seen leaving the building “as if nothing had happened,” while carrying some personal belongings of the victim with him.

Around 11:30 p.m. on Wednesday, police operatives who were tracking the suspect led to Erlano’s house in Barangay San Nicolas 2. However, they were unable to arrest him.

During the search, they recovered a black backpack believed to be owned by the victim; a black shirt with white stripes and a blue t-shirt, which investigators believe were used by the suspect when he robbed and fatally stabbed Daguinsin in her room.
