Healthcare workers vaccinated as #TaasManggasKawit campaign kicks off

The local government of Kawit held its first vaccination rollout under its #TaasManggasKawit campaign on Wednesday at the Binakayan Hospital and Medical Center and San Pedro Calungsod Medical Center.

According to the Kawit Rural Health Unit (RHU), the agency managed to vaccinate three healthcare workers of their own, 133 from the Binakayan Hospital and Medical Center (BHMC), and 128 from the San Pedro Calungsod Medical Center.

BHMC staff also held a simple program before the morning vaccination proper to pray for the ongoing activity and thank the frontliners present.

The earlier simulation held by the RHU in collaboration with the hospital paid off as the whole process went smoothly. A total of 264 vaccines were utilized in a single day out of the 364 delivered on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Mayor Angelo Emilio Aguinaldo thanked the Kawiteños, frontliners, hospital staff, and healthcare workers for supporting the municipality’s #TaasManggasKawit vaccination program. 

Aguinaldo also heralded the event as proof of the municipality’s fast and efficient vaccination rollout process and asked Kawiteños to stay tuned for the next vaccination schedule.
