Presidential aspirant Vice President Leni Robredo and her running mate Senator Kiko Pangilinan visited on Thursday vote-rich Cavite to meet their supporters and several local officials.

The tandem was welcomed by their pink-clad supporters at stationary caravans on their way to a meet and greet event hosted by General Trias City Mayor Ony Ferrer and Cavite 6th District Representative Jon-Jon Ferrer IV.

Robredo and Pangilinan then paid a courtesy call on Governor Jonvic Remulla at the provincial capitol in Trece Martires City where they likewise met with Carmona Mayor Roy Loyola.
Cavite is next to Cebu as the top vote-rich provinces in the country in 2019.
The two also went to the Imus Cathedral where they met with Bishop Rey Evangelista and led a ribbon-cutting ceremony for a bell house.

They afterwards dropped by at the Dasmariñas National High School where Robredo addressed a crowd of their supporters and entertained questions from representatives of different sectors.
Cavite 4th District Representative Elpidio Pidi Barzaga and his son Dasmariñas City councilor Kiko Barzaga joined the audience.

In Kawit, Robredo and Pangilinan inaugurated two donor-sponsored and volunteer-driven “Leni Lugaw” trucks as they served rice porridge to local residents.

Also present at the feeding program were some senatorial candidates under their lineup such as human rights lawyer Chel Diokno, labor leader Sonny Matula, and patriotic books author Alex Lacson. An impersonator of detained Senator Leila De Lima was also there.

In 2016, Robredo lost in Cavite to rival Ferdinand Marcos Jr. by more than 150,000 votes. Cavite is a known bailiwick of presidential aspirant and Senator Ping Lacson.
