ROSARIO, Cavite – The local government unit (LGU) of Rosario in Cavite has raffled off BAJAJ frontliner e-bikes from the Jesus B. Del Rosario Foundation to the various barangays within its jurisdiction.
The event was held at the Rosario Elementary School on February 16, which was facilitated by Mayor Voltaire Ricafrente.

The fortunate barangays that won in the raffle were Ligtong II, Bagbag I, Wawa III, Kanluran and Sapa III.
In an interview with The Cavite Rising, Sangguniang Bayan member Bamm Gonzales said these e-bikes were given to accelerate further every barangay’s COVID-19 response.
“Kailangan ito lalo na ngayong pandemic. Hindi na mahihirapan pa ang mga barangay captain kung sakali mang may emergency sa lugar nila,” she said.
In a Facebook post, Wawa III Barangay Captain Ermer Pagkaliwangan expressed his gratitude as one of the recipients of the e-bike.
“Isa po ako sa nabunot at malaking tulong po ito para sa aking Barangay,” Ermer Pagkaliwangan, Barangay Captain of Wawa III said in his Facebook post.
Gonzales said the Rosario LGU makes sure that give assistance to every barangay as they are in the frontlines of the coronavirus response.
