The construction of the super health center is expected to begin this February and is targeted to be completed as early as September 2023.

Once built, the super health center — a medium-sized center larger than the usual Rural Health Unit but smaller than hospitals — will provide affordable birth, dental, laboratory, and other basic medical services.

According to Sen. Go, more than 700 super health centers will be established nationwide this year in line with his commitment to helping boost the country’s health sector.
