“Hindi naman pala masakit. Balewala … [kayang-kaya] ng lahat ng Caviteño [ito]. Kilala tayo sa pagiging matapang at walang inuurungan … kahit karayom,” he tweeted after his inoculation.

Prior to getting the vaccine, Remulla debunked myths on inoculation by citing scientific findings as he allayed fears due to the Dengvaxia controversy and microchip conspiracies.

“Huwag ho kayo matakot dito sa vaccine. Ito ay proven effective, proven reliable, and number one, proven na makakatigil ng COVID,” he said.

The official also said no adverse events have been reported due to COVID-19 immunization in the province.

“So far, ang nakikita natin sa Cavite, out of so many vaccinated, wala pa namang may severe side effects…Generally, wala pa namang naI-ICU, wala pa namang nao-ospital,” said Remulla.

Earlier this month, President Rodrigo Duterte approved a recommendation from the Inter-Agency Task Force to allow mayors and governors of high-risk areas to already get vaccinated.
