Cavite LGUs cited for Manila Bay cleanup performances

Several local government units in the province of Cavite received recognition for their exemplary performances under the Manila Bay Clean-Up Rehabilitation and Preservation Program.

The Department of Interior and Local Government has awarded top performing local government units (LGU) of Cavite for their exemplary performances under the Manila Bay Clean-Up Rehabilitation and Preservation Program on April 22.

Imus City received the platinum award as it was recognized as the Cavite Provincial Top Performer and a second placer for the Regional Top Performer in the city category.

It can be recalled that the Imus LGU was also hailed as a top performer for the 2020 assessment for compliance on the said rehabilitation program and received a P1,500,000 cash incentive from the DILG-NCR.

Aside from the local government of Imus City, the other cities in Cavite which likewise received an award include Bacoor City (Gold Award), General Trias City (Silver Award), and Tagaytay City (Bronze Award).

Meanwhile, the Municipality of Magallanes was named as the Cavite Provincial Top Performer and second place Regional Top Performer for the municipal level, together with the Municipality of Carmona (Gold Award), Municipality of Silang (Silver Award) and Municipality of Mendez-Nunez (Bronze Award).
